Eaton STS Brochure

Eaton Static Transfer Switch (STS) (200-1000A)

The Eaton Type II STS transfers electrical loads from one source to another while eliminating the chance of a loss of power to critical equipment by properly coordinating with the electrical distribution system. During a fault condition, the Type II STS continues to conduct current, allowing downstream circuit breakers to work selectively. By incorporating the Eaton Type II STS into your power infrastructure many UPS/building configurations are possible.

  • Voltage 208Vac or 480Vac
  • Ensures instantaneous transfers without cross connection of sources via patented algorithm
  • Provides redundant internal power distribution in all system control boards
  • Improves system availability by enabling quick response to events through enhanced monitoring and diagnostics
  • Enables maintenance without affecting power to the critical load
  • Delivers high reliability and site-adaptability with digital signal processor-based technology
  • Eliminates fuse replacement with fuse-free, rugged and highly reliable SCR devices
  • Integrates with Eaton data center solutions

Eaton PDU Monitoring Brochure

Eaton Power Distribution Unit (PDU) (50-300 kVA)

The Eaton Power Distribution Unit (PDU) provides reliable data center power distribution for both raised and non-raised floor applications. To deliver effective power management and monitoring, the Eaton PDU incorporates the Eaton Energy Management System, optimizing both utilization and availability down to the branch circuit level. The optional Power Xpert Gateway PDP Card provides web-enabled, real-time monitoring for power quality status and fast response to power-related events.

The Eaton PDU series can be easily expanded

as power needs change by adding up to three side-cars. This expands the distribution capacity from 84 to up to 252 circuit breaker pole positions. Each PDU can be configured to meet your specific needs for isolation, voltage transformation, harmonic reduction and voltage regulation with virtually limitless distribution options. Built-in system monitoring and diagnostics facilitate load balancing and warn of potential threats to your critical equipment.

Rack Power Module Datasheet

Eaton Rack Power Module (RPM)

The Eaton RPM simplifies data center power distribution by delivering up to 36 kW of power in a 3U cabinet. Connect directly from a three-phase UPS (such as the Eaton BladeUPS), or other utility source, to power secondary power distribution devices such as the Eaton ePDU. Twelve pole positions distribute power to completely customizable input and output configurations and voltages.

  • Provides plug-and-play primary distribution of power from a three-phase input source to secondary power distribution devices
  • Serves data center loads with various voltages, power cord configurations and layouts
  • Distributes three-phase power to 12 poles, grouped into two sets of six poles, with choice of output receptacle types
  • “Power Equalizer” LED display gives quick visual indication of each circuit’s load, reducing possibility of overloads and breakers tripped off line
  • Load information available from the front of the rack, no need to check individual power strips in the rear of the cabinet (hot isle)
  • Branch circuit monitoring option allows easy load monitoring over the network
  • Installs in only 3U of space in EIA 19” rack or enclosure (or wall-mounted), all hardware included
  • Enables customer installation and changes without the services of a licensed electrician
